    Why This Game Matters

We wanted more than a game about “winning money.” We wanted a game about building together — about legacy, representation, and learning. We looked to Greenwood's Golden Era to find an inspiring story of Black entrepreneurship and community success. The result: a board game that honors the past and equips players for the future.

“We created this game so families, students and communities can experience the power of collaboration — not just competition.”
    — Scott & Ariel

    The Greenwood Legacy

The Greenwood District: Black Wall Street

In the early 1900s, the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was one of the most prosperous African American communities in the United States. Known as ‘Black Wall Street,’ this thriving neighborhood was home to over 600 Black-owned businesses.

The district represented the pinnacle of Black entrepreneurship and economic self-sufficiency, creating unprecedented wealth during the Jim Crow era.
